Historic Issac Pierce House located in Somerset Historic Village District. This first floor vintage apartment features large rooms with many old historic touches still intact. Enjoy the original wood shutters and the craftsmanship as they fold into the walls. The apartment highlights the bustling clipper ship era of Captain James Madison Hood's Shipyard. Some of the fastest clipper ships in the world were built and docked here. Little pieces of that history are all around during your stay.

The space

Old Historic home on Main Street in the Somerset, MA. Large corner lot property with views of the Taunton River and Fall River Country Club. Large rooms throughout. The Clipper is fully functioning apartment located on the first floor and is only 3 steps up from the parking lot. A small outdoor seating area to enjoy the breezy conditions as you watch the boats go to and fro in the summer time.

Guest access

Guests will have the entire first floor apartment. Coin op laundry in the basement is shared, and the small seating area off the parking is also shared with the second floor Airbnb. If you want to sleep 6 more with an additional bathroom, feel free to book "The Crows Nest" too in order to have the entire front half of the house.

Other things to note

If you are looking for a 4 bedroom, 6 bed, 2 bath, 2 kitchen house for up to 10 people, Book The Clipper (1st floor apartment) and the Crows Nest (second floor apartment) of the same building. This would allow you to essentially book the entire front 1747 build of the house.

Additional rules

A lot of guests seem to be missing this, but for light blocking and privacy, the original wood shudders are built into the window cavity and fold out for privacy. The craftsmanship is amazing and you rarely see these in functioning condition. In the summer the 2 windows with air conditioner units have temporary light blocking shades that pull down from the top because you cannot close the wood shudders all the way with the air conditioners in place.

Trash - We are a pay as you throw community so recycling is extremely important. All recycling goes in the yellow top wheeled bins labeled 1E. All trash goes in the barrel shed in the barrel labeled 1E. Please, no plastic bags, used napkins, or heavily greasy pizza boxes in the recycling. Trash goes curbside Monday evening. We take care of that.

There is no smoking on the property. Dispensary products are allowed outside but we ask that you be discreet as possible for the consideration of other guests.

It is extremely import to check out on time. Cleaning service are 3rd party and can show up promptly at 10:00am. 

There is no smoking anywhere on the property. Quiet hours are from 11:00pm to 7:00am.
